چکیده

A constitutive peptide lactonase from Actinoplanes missouriensis hydrolyzed echinomycin, stendomycin, thiostrepton, vernamycin B, staphylomycin S, and etamycin. An induced lactonase hydrolyzed actinomycin but not the other peptide lactones.

Draft Genome Sequence of Actinoplanes utahensis NRRL 12052, a Microorganism Involved in Industrial Production of Pharmaceutical Intermediates

Here, we describe the draft genome sequence of Actinoplanes utahensis NRRL 12052, a filamentous bacterium that encodes an aculeacin A acylase and a putative N-acyl-homoserine lactone acylase of biotechnological interest. Moreover, several nonribosomal peptide synthase (NRPS) and polyketide synthase (PKS) clusters and antibiotic resistance genes have been identified.

Sequencing and analysis of the biosynthetic gene cluster of the lipopeptide antibiotic Friulimicin in Actinoplanes friuliensis.

Actinoplanes friuliensis produces the lipopeptide antibiotic friulimicin, which is a cyclic peptide with one exocyclic amino acid linked to a branched-chain fatty acid acyl residue. The structural relationship to daptomycin and the excellent antibacterial performance of friulimicin make the antibiotic an attractive drug candidate. The complete friulimicin biosynthetic gene cluster of 24 open re...

Studies on mikamycin B lactonase. I. Degradation of mikamycin B by Streptomyces mitakaensis.

Some intensive studies on the inactivation mechanisms of clinically important antibiotics such as penicillin1), chloramphenicol2) and aminoglycosidic antibiotics3,4) have been reported. Derivations and cleavages of these antibiotic molecules were the mechanisms of inactivation in resistant organisms. Another aspect of antibiotic inactivation so far studied is the action of soil microbes. ARGOUD...

A glutamate mutase is involved in the biosynthesis of the lipopeptide antibiotic friulimicin in Actinoplanes friuliensis.

Actinoplanes friuliensis produces the lipopeptide antibiotic friulimicin. This antibiotic is active against gram-positive bacteria such as multiresistant Enterococcus and Staphylococcus strains. It consists of 10 amino acids that form a ring structure and 1 exocyclic amino acid to which an acyl residue is attached. By a reverse genetic approach, biosynthetic genes were identified that are requi...

An acyl-CoA dehydrogenase is involved in the formation of the Delta cis3 double bond in the acyl residue of the lipopeptide antibiotic friulimicin in Actinoplanes friuliensis.

The lipopeptide antibiotic friulimicin, produced by Actinoplanes friuliensis, is an effective drug against Gram-positive bacteria, such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus strains. Friulimicin consists of a cyclic peptide core of ten amino acids and an acyl residue linked to an exocyclic amino acid. The acyl residue is essential for antibiotic activity,...
